Buddha’s Image in the attitude of subduing mara (Pang Maravichai) (Ming Mueang Buddha Image) (Phanat Nikhom) is the Buddha Image Pang Maravichai engraved with Burmese rosewood. It is the art of the Lao people, built around the year 1828. It was built by Lao people who migrated and lived in this area. It was previously enshrined in the abandoned temple, Wat Pha Khao Yai, which was assumed that it was the first ancient temple in Phanat Nikhom District. Later, Phanat Nikhom Municipality improved the place and the area around the abandoned temple as well as constructed the shrine as the enshrinement place for the Principal Buddha Image at the previous location of the temple hall.
